Ray, a passion for food and for meeting new people
This gem of an apartment is Ray’s great pride. Originally from Scotland, Ray has been living in Amsterdam for the past 20 years. He bought the building in which the Dam Palace Duplex is located and refurbished it with his own hands. Downstairs is his restaurant where for years he could practice his life’s passion: cooking. His other passion is meeting new people and so, a few years back, Ray rented the restaurant out, moved out and made the duplex available for short-term rental.
What drove you to rent your property out short-term?
So I could give people the opportunity to stay in a comfortable house in the heart of amsterdam.
Which is your favourite room in the rental and why?
the kitchen….. it’s the gathering and social focal point of the house
What is the favourite guest comment you received?
“We had an amazing stay!”
